Reiwag already has a tradition spanning more than a hundred years. But it was only with the third generation and the current boss Viktor Wagner that the Viennese family business developed into a significant and comprehensive service provider in the Central and Eastern European cleaning industry. It all began in 1903 with Wagner's grandfather. His father took over the small business after the Second World War and was of the opinion that the future of cleaning was "rather uncertain. And that's why he recommended that I become a pragmatic civil servant." Viktor Wagner followed his father's advice and trained as a banker. "But that was too boring for me." Wagner went to New York to acquire business and management knowledge. Back in Vienna, he founded Reiwag - short for Reinigung Wagner - using his father's trade license.
